iPort Rail has been named a finalist in the annual Rail Business Awards 2021 in recognition of its operations and work helping businesses navigate the COVID-19 crisis.
The facility is shortlisted for Rail Freight and Logistics Excellence, which rewards rail freight companies that have gone above and beyond the call of duty.
The news comes as iPort Rail returns to pre-COVID-19 business activity levels, with six daily freight trains now operating between the terminal and Felixstowe, Teesside, and Southampton.
It’s great to have been shortlisted for this award following what has been a challenging year for everyone. Throughout the crisis, we have worked hard behind the scenes to support our customers and we’re pleased that this has been recognised. As we exit this second national lockdown and move towards Brexit, we will continue to do everything we can to help businesses in the region and beyond continue to connect with customers and suppliers in an efficient, sustainable way.
