Kingsbury Press comes to iPort

19 July, 2019

Luxury print specialist Kingsbury Press has signed up for a new facility at iPort, taking a speculatively-built unit for its new UK head office and production facility.

Kingsbury Press is a leading print production specialist, with showrooms in London and New York in addition to its Doncaster facility. It focusses on the luxury sector, with clients globally including Berkeley Homes, Graff Diamonds, Ferrari, Aston Martin and Jaguar Land Rover. A third-generation family business, founded in 1966, with a team of 35, it is known in the print world for pioneering the K-Bind ultimate lay-flat binding method and bringing fully-automated gilt edging to the UK.

Relocating from its current base in Armthorpe the company is taking building iP2c, a total of 58,879 sq ft (5,470 sq m). It will join Lidl, Fellowes, CEVA and Amazon, which are already based at iPort.

Rob Layton, Director at Kingsbury Press said: “Our business is expanding into new capabilities, including high end magazine work and corporate reporting, which means investment in a range of new equipment to meet our clients needs.  As a result we needed new, much bigger, facilities and iPort has been exactly the right choice. Access and power were the two most important factors, so the excellent road and rail links, the yard size and the three-phase power all made the building very attractive. Nothing else came close to the quality of the build, and this facility should serve us very well.”

John Clements, European Development Director at Verdion, said: “Kingsbury Press is a great addition to the growing line-up of occupiers based at iPort. We want to support expanding regional businesses and are pleased that the work we’ve put into transport, power and services is helping to provide precisely the space they need.

“Logistics demand comes in lots of different forms and at iPort we provide a mix of immediate availability for smaller and mid-size businesses alongside major, specialist built-to-suit facilities where we have longstanding experience of delivering complex facilities. All of this is supported by a strong and valued local workforce with ample capacity for future growth.”
